I took part in the NHS Oviva programme. I learned a lot, it made me think about my lifestyle and the exercise I was taking. Wanting to avoid diabetes concentrated the mind and I followed the advice given, changed my diet to something I actually really enjoy, I do more exercise walking for a couple of hours a week. There is some great advice on the programme, you get a team of real people to message when you need extra advice or reassurance, the logging and feedback on each meal worked for me. I coupled this programme with recipes from the “glucose goddess”, I stopped eating breakfast but enjoy two healthy meals a day, I hydrate more now and walk more. I lost over 20kg in 9 months and can control my weight now. I don’t miss out on anything I just have much more control and can balance meals so much better. The Oviva programme has been life changing and I recommend it. You will love it too when the weight begins to drop.
Read on Google ↗My Oviva Journey ❤️ I can honestly say that joining the Oviva Weight Management Programme has been one of the best decisions I’ve made for myself. I’ve now lost an incredible 4.5 stone, but for me, it’s been about so much more than the number on the scales. The level of support, guidance and education throughout the programme has been fantastic. I’ve learned so much about nutrition, healthy habits, portion sizes and making sustainable changes that I can continue long term. Having that ongoing support has made such a difference. I’ve never felt like I was doing it alone, and the advice has helped me understand why I’m making certain changes rather than simply being told what to eat. I’m incredibly proud of how far I’ve come, and so grateful to everyone at Oviva who has supported me along the way. 4.5 stone down and feeling like a completely different person — inside and out! 🥰❤️ I would absolutely recommend Oviva to anyone looking for a supportive, educational and realistic approach to weight management. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Read on Google ↗I was part of Tier 3 weight management service , though chose not to have Wegovy injections. I found the team very helpful and non-judgemental, with useful suggestions to deal with my particular stumbling blocks, and being able to message than was great. The app. is really useful, it helps you monitor that you are eating a balanced diet, drinking enough water, and keep track of your weight, amongst other things. The psychology phone consultations were really important in helping me to understand my eating patterns
Read on Google ↗I used this to help with weight loss over the last 9 months. The range of topics was useful, in particular the reassurance that I was eating the correct balance and the psychology of eating. It also introduced me to yoga, which I have found helpful in the mornings to gently get things in motion. The recommendation for other apps and other reading have been helpful additions to my life.
Read on Google ↗Absolutely appalling service. Referred the end of 2025 and started the six month programme in February. I did not have a psychology appointment until three months in (May), after the first one was cancelled at the time my appointment was due to start. I submitted a complaint which was partially upheld, though nothing was offered to mitigate the the impact the delays are likely to have had on my progress. When the psychology assessment eventually went ahead, it involved little more than me repeating information I had already provided as part of the initial intake. The first psychology coaching session took place last week and although it is was quite helpful and I left more hopeful, I have had no further contact despite it being confirmed that psychological input is indicated and there being mention of further appointments being booked after it had been discussed with a supervisor on Thursday. In addition, despite repeatedly stating that a tracking app and online articles were not effective for me, it took until the end of June to be offered telephone nutritional coaching, and I won't have my first coaching session until mid-July. I queried why there had been a delay in offering an alternative approach given I had been very clear that I found the app ineffective (it offers little more than my smart watch app), to be told that it had been offered after a recommendation from psychology. The delays have had a significant knock on effect when it comes to me being able to access adequate guidance and support. My six months are up in August so I will be discharged, and to date I have had a 25 minute initial intake assessment, a 25 minute psychology assessment, a 25 minute psychology session and a few messages (some of which were AI generated). I wonder how much the NHS has been charged for an hour and 15 minutes of telephone calls and messages sent via an app (not all of them by a human). Communication both in the app and via email has been slow, and complaint responses have avoided answering points in full, and have been defensive in places. An ineffective, substandard level of provision that has been nothing but disappointing from start to finish. If there are alternative offerings in your area and you have a choice, I strongly recommend that you do not opt for Oviva and go with another provider instead.
