*edit: since this complaint, the clinic disabled my account and therefore my access to my medical records, without notice My experience with Synthesis Clinic was unfortunately negative. They were helpful in initially identifying that there was an underlying issue, and I appreciate that early investigation. However, alongside this they provided additional diagnoses which, after later seeing an appropriate medical specialist, I learned they were not qualified to make, and were diagnoses that could not be made without more information, tests and referrals being done. I followed the treatment plan I was given, but over time my condition continued to worsen rather than improve. When I asked about specific medications, I was told they could not prescribe them because they were described as “toxic” and “no longer recommended in this country.” I later discovered this information was incorrect. The guidance they were following was based on American protocols, and the same medication was subsequently prescribed to me by a UK doctor, as per NHS guidance. Ultimately I was very sick, and was given treatments that had not been fully clinically tested, despite these existing. As a result, I lost approximately 7 months pursuing an ineffective treatment pathway. This delay had a significant impact on my health and wellbeing, and on my life more broadly, both short term and potentially long term. When I started to emphasise these issues, the clinic cut me off without addressing the issues of false diagnosis and misguided treatment reasoning. I was told 'sorry this is just how things work in medicine'. They originally referred me to another Doctor which I found out could do nothing to help, before I was referred to another which I had to wait a long time for. Despite asking for support in the meantime, even if not targeted medical treatment for my specific issue, I get the impression they thought my case was not worth it. This experience in itself, was mildly traumatic, not to mention the other health issues I was living with. Finally, their pharmacy / medication provider effectively scammed me, and they did nothing to help with this.
Read on Google ↗I met with Linda, a nutritionist at Synthesis, over a 6 month period for support with diet planning and supplements while I had treatment for cancer. Linda was knowledgable, supportive and friendly. I got detailed reports after each meeting with recipes as well as guidance in terms of what supplements to take and when. Linda also looked at my blood results as part of her planning. I couldn't recommend synthesis enough!

Read on Google ↗After many years of seeking support from both NHS professionals & those in the private sector where my health issues could not be dealt with, were misdiagnosed & on occasions, were made worse, I have finally found someone who understands, listens & treats individuals holistically. Dr. Nina is the most empathetic, caring & knowledgeable clinician I have ever worked with. I have complete trust in Dr. Nina & feel like a huge weight has been lifted in terms of managing & improving my health - she is always one step ahead! Two years ago, I was in a very different place & could never have envisaged how much my health would improve. I still have a way to go, but most importantly, I have hope. Dr. Nina has enabled me to become a wife & a Mum again, & for that, I will never be able to thank her enough.
Read on Google ↗I have been a patient at Synthesis for nine months; I have stage 4 lung cancer. Doctor Emma’s approach knowledge, experience and expertise in working with people with cancer is excellent. She is approachable and compassionate. All choices are based on my individual situation; my additional blood tests via the clinic; my hospital scans. The support synchronises with my clinical hospital care. I wholeheartedly recommend her. She is an essential part of how I am living with cancer. I feel thankful to have found a clinic with expert, considered and wise staff. Thank you Emma.
