The Menopause Specialists have helped me navigate through a time where there seemed very little support, knowledge and guidance in the season of changing hormones. I now feel I have support and a plan to feel so much better about my self and life ahead. Every person at The Menopause Specialists have been patient and caring in their approach, which has made the experience so personal. A very big thank you.

The treatment offered by Kate and The Menopause Specialists has been life-changing. I have struggled with PMDD for the past few years and I have tried everything I have access to (SSRIs, therapy, supplements, considerable lifestyle changes). It felt like a monumental decision to seek support beyond what the NHS could offer and since beginning treatment with Kate, my symptoms have cleared and I feel I have won back my body and mind. Kate is attentive, kind and thorough and I appreciated the multi-faceted nature of the holistic treatment options, as well as her knowledge and professionalism. My only regret is I did not make an appointment earlier!

Absolutely life changing! After suffering with physical and mental health issues for quite a while I am blown away with the change the treatment has made to my life. Kate is wonderful and very professional, she has accurately assessed my issues from the start and prescribed a treatment which has really turned my life around. Would absolutely recommend.

I went last April (2024) for the TMS 5 blood test. I knew I was in perimenopause based on symptoms and wanted to understand my starting point from hormones to nutrients and I liked the fact Menopause specialists covered all bases with their blood tests. They were the most comprehensive I found locally. Katie was doing the blood test and it all felt quite rushed. She was struggling to draw blood and started to get annoyed “it’s always the ones who need the most blood taken” There were bottles and blood taking stuff all over the desk and she was trying in different places on my arms. She asked if I wanted to come back so Kate could do it. Eventually she managed but then I had to do a urine sample, something I hadn’t been told about. She had to go, I presume because the rooms are rented, so I had to sort out the urine sample and packaging it up with the samples myself. It was a really unpleasant experience. I thought they would talk to me about what was going on first. Kate then called to go through my blood test results, tbh I think I could’ve easily read them myself. She was happy to prescribe HRT but when I told her I already had it, but hadn’t started because of waiting for results of a gynae investigation, the call was wrapped up. When you go to the NHS with perimenopause symptoms it’s very hard to get someone to listen. I had hoped I’d get this here, because you think you’re going mad and gaslight yourself. Sadly that was no different here and the blood test experience was horrible. Just stuck my arm on the desk ti have it poked around.

I can’t recommend Kate highly enough. From the moment I walked in to my consultation I was at ease. We talked through all of my symptoms & how they had affected my life, and with Kate’s extensive knowledge we now have a plan to move forward. Kate has a wonderful peace about her, and is so easy to talk to. It was a really cleansing experience to talk to someone who understands. Every single women starting on their menopause journey deserves to be given this level of care. We are now also looking at the consultation they provide for Men too.
