About 5 years ago I went to the Women’s Hormone Clinic because I was feeling anxious all the time and completely exhausted. I was premenopausal at the time and just didn’t feel like myself anymore. I had a consultation with Dr Ginny Ponsford and she was so warm, kind and easy to talk to. She really listened to my concerns and made me feel understood straight away. After having blood tests to check my hormone levels, I started HRT and over time I began to feel so much better. Since then I’ve had regular reviews and blood tests to make sure everything is working well, and my HRT has been adjusted when needed depending on how I’ve been feeling and the results. The difference in my quality of life has honestly been huge. Before HRT I was constantly tired and struggling with my energy, whereas now I feel fitter, healthier and much more like myself again. I even teach fitness classes now, which I never would have imagined back then. The clinic really offers a personalised service and I’ve always felt supported. Dr Ginny Ponsford has been the biggest part of that for me — she’s caring, knowledgeable and genuinely wants to help women feel better as they get older. I’m still with the Women’s Hormone Clinic and plan to continue long term. I’m very grateful for all the help and support I’ve had over the years. Thank you x

Dr Ponsford is exceptional. I came to her at a real low point in my peri-menopause. Her calm, kind and extremely knowledgeable approach has been so supportive through this time. She provides an extremely high level of care and a wonderfully pragmatic approach to this complicated and daunting part of life. I cannot recommend her highly enough.

Do yourself (and your family!) a favour and go and see the lovely people at this clinic. I didn’t realise how much I needed them. I am a calmer and less shouty human, plus I sleep so much better now. I am forever grateful! xx

I had been concerned about how I’d been feeling physically and emotionally for quite a long time and suspected it was probably to do with my hormone levels. Constant anxiety, night sweats, heavy periods, the list goes on. I went to see Rebecca to discuss my symptoms. She made me feel totally at ease during my first consultation and I felt very comfortable opening up about my concerns. Rebecca is warm, kind, understanding and really knows her stuff. Rebecca discussed my options clearly in a very professional manner and I have to say the results have been amazing! The treatment she recommended has worked absolute wonders for me and for the first time, in a long time, I actually feel like me again!! I would 100% recommend a visit to see Rebecca, she will help you get your life back on track!!

I cannot recommend the Women’s Hormone Clinic and Dr Rebecca Poet highly enough. For about eighteen months I had been receiving conventional GP prescribed HRT, which had alleviated some symptoms of my menopause some of the time, but was becoming less and less effective. My night sweats, insomnia, muscle aches and lethargy contributed to low mood and lack of enthusiasm for anything. Within weeks of starting a hormone regime specified by Dr Poet my skin was clearer, the sweats had gone and I was sleeping like a baby! My hormone levels have changed over the months and the regime has been adjusted accordingly. Dr Poet is knowledgeable, sympathetic and positive and I can’t thank her enough. In my husband’s words, “I’ve got my wife back”.
